STUDIES ON EFFICACY OF LIBIDOZONE ON EGG HATCHABILITY IN Cobb 430 POULTRY BIRDS
Introduction :
Egg hatching is fundamental to the success and sustainability of poultry businesses, offering control over genetics, cost efficiency, biosecurity advantages, and the ability to tailor production to meet specific market demands.
Egg hatching is crucial in the poultry business for several reasons as…
Production of Chicks,
Genetic Improvement : for better growth rates, disease resistance, egg production, and overall profitability.
Sustainability,
Cost Efficiency,
Customization,
Biosecurity and
Supply Chain Control
Improving egg hatching in poultry breeding involves several key strategies and considerations viz. Genetic Selection, Optimized Incubation Conditions, Egg Handling and Management, Nutrition and Health Management, Breeder Age and Management, regular monitoring of hatchery performance such as fertility rates, hatch rates, chick quality and Continuous Improvement By integrating these strategies into poultry breeding programs, breeders can achieve higher egg hatching rates, improve chick quality, and enhance overall productivity and profitability in the poultry industry.
Using herbs to improve egg hatching percentage in poultry farming is a practice known as herbal supplementation or phytotherapy.
Looking to the need of improvement in the egg hatching percentage M/S AS Nutrisol, Buland shaker, Uttar Pradesh has developed a research based, herbal product LIBIDOZONE.
Laboratory analysis, Laboratory animal studies showed the promising results as improvement in total sperm count, sperm mobility, reducing the abnormal sperm count and sperm defects on use of LIBIDOZONE. Hence, The present research work was planned to study the efficacy of LIBIDOZONE in improving the egg hatching percentage in field conditions.
Materials and Methods :
A trial was planned on 1500, 63 weeks old male Cobb 430 at S.K. Breeding Farm, Hailey Mandi, Dist. Gurgaon by Mr. Suresh Yadav and the data is interpreted below.
All the birds are the breeder stock. The egg hatching percentage on the farm was observed to be 76 percent before the start of the experiment.
All the birds were maintained under standard housing condition.
Results :
Table 1. Egg hatching percentage & economics of LIBIDOZONE from sale of egg
Group | Egg Hatching percentage Before treatment | Egg Hatching percentage After treatment | % Improved | increased egg production Per day | Rate of fertile egg (Rs) | Per day profit. (Rs) |
I | 1140 ± 0.43 | 1141 ± 0.40 | 0.08 | 1 | 15/- | 15 |
II | 1138 ± 0.40 | 1178 ± 0.41 | 3.33 | 38 | 15/- | 570 |
Table 2. Egg hatching percentage & economics of LIBIDOZONE from sale of chick
Group | Egg Hatching percentage Before treatment | Egg Hatching percentage After treatment | % Improved | increased egg production Per day | Rate of day oil chick (Rs) | Per day profit. (Rs) |
I | 1140 ± 0.43 | 1141 ± 0.40 | 0.08 | 1 | 300/- | 300/- |
II | 1138 ± 0.40 | 1178 ± 0.41 | 3.33 | 38 | 300/- | 11400/- |
The total hatched eggs in a non treated group was observed to be 1140 ± 0.43 per day from 1500 birds indicating the per cent watchability of 76.00 % only (table 1).
Though the age of birds was 63 weeks, higher watchability (may up to 80-82 %) was expected.
All the birds were treated with LIBIDOZONE at the dose rate of 1 Kg per tone of feed..
No significant in the egg hatching was observed in non treated group birds where the egg hatching was observed to be 1141 ± 0.40 as against 1140 ± 0.43.
Statistically significant increase in the egg hatching was observed in treatment group where the egg hatching was observed to be increased to 1178 ± 0.41 as against 1138 ± 0.40. indicating egg hatching percentage to be elevated to 78.5 % from 76.00 p%.
When the economics is calculated :
Daily increased egg no is 38 eggs in 1500 birds
If the rate of fertile egg is just Rs. 15.00 / egg it indicate increase in the income of Rs 570/- per day I.e. Rs 17670/- in a month (31 days).
If instead of eggs chicks are sold at just Rs. 300.00 / chick (table 2) and we have got 38 chicks per day I.e. Rs 300 X 38 = Rs 11400/- per day is a profit .e. Rs 3,53,400/- in a month (31 days).
Above is a profit just from 1500 birds.
Conclusion :
Use of LIBIDOZONE powder from AS Nutrisol, Buland shaker, Uttarpradesh at the dose rate of 1 Kg per tone of feed significantly increased the egg hatching percentage from 76.00 % to 78.50 % I.e. an increase by 2.5 %.
The product LIBIDOZONE is proved to be highly efficacious and boost the economy of hatchery.
